J-pop obsession

Okay since some people actually noticed my ranking I’ve edited to the previous post. Natsumi has moved up a few rankings, not sure why I put her where I did and I’ve now attached a comment on all the girls in my ranking in the previous post. One of my reasons for not really commenting the “bottom girls” at first, was not only because it would take long, but was also afraid to offend anybody. But maybe people would like to know why some members are low in my rankings, but then again not sure if I can really explain my reasons. Some members just catch our attentions and some don’t.  Also had to remove the pictures because LJ was a pain and kept messing the whole thing up. Hope to have them back soon, since it made the whole a bit more interesting.

Reading my previous post again also made me see some weird typos. Like that I wrote that I chose K over A. That was a mistake, guess I was tired. B -> A -> K, that’s the real ranking.

Like stated in the previous post, without any typos, is that I love team B. They truly made me more passionate about AKB48. Before team b I kind of got used to the thought that, when it came to being interested in team A and K, I had realize and settle with the fact there would be girls I had to look past. I mean in all groups there’s members you like and dislike, that’s the beauty of groups.

     We as people are so different and so are the members of both girl and boy groups. Some members appeal to us, some don’t. Maybe if we knew them in person our rankings might change, because they’re all idols we watch on DVDs and listen to. Some are lucky enough to see them live, but still don’t know how they are as people; all we can do is assume that we would get along perfect with our favourite girl. The greatness of idols, so untouchable, somebody we look up to, somebody we put all our interest into and some we even rank.

    In Team A I disliked Narita Risa and Masuyama Kayano (who as we know graduated) in team K I disliked Akimoto Sayaka and Ohori Megumi and I still do, sorry. Then team B came and I got ready to have more favourites and dislikes. The last thing never came. Team B is actually a group (within a group) where there’s not a single member I dislike. Team B, just have this certain something I can’t explain. Sometimes it seems like they had to fight harder to get the acknowledgment and recognition that team A and K already maintained. They were like the younger sisters of the two other teams. Like when the younger sister has to wear some of the older sister’s used clothes, team B had to perform not just one “used stage” like team K, but two. Which also made some of the fans of AKB48 go “we’ve seen those stages/songs before, what else is new?”

Also when it came to selection of members in the new singles, team B was almost looked past. With only three members chosen in Bingo!, Even worse with the following Boku no Taiyou and Yuuhi wo Miteiru ka? Where only Wantanabe Mayu were chosen. And then only two members for Romance, Irane!

    Nothing is better exposition than being in the singles. If you look at a lot of peoples ranking, often their top 10 girls are girls who often appears in singles. Not saying that’s why people chose them, just saying they’re a lot more known. Think the names new AKB48 fans learns first are names as, Maeda Atsuko, Takahashi Minami, Kojima Haruna, Minegishi Minami, Oshima Yuko, Kasai Tomomi and maybe Wantanabe Mayu. So is it so weird that team B is still so unknown when they are so rarely chosen.

Now team B finally got their own stage - Pajama Drive. This in my opinion is one of the best stages within AKB48 ever. And I feel more and more people start noticing this team. I just hope they’ll still be noticed when it comes to selecting members for the next single.
